Joan H. Story, Oakland, CA, is an attorney specializing in commercial real estate transactions. She is a partner in the San Francisco office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Her experience encompasses land acquisition and development, construction, permanent and tax-exempt financing, joint venture and other investment entity formation, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties and representation of hotel owners and operators. Ms. Story is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and presently sits on the Board of Directors of the Child Care Law Center and the UC Davis Law School Alumni Association. She has been actively involved in a number of civic organizations, including serving as a member and President of the Board of Trustees of St. Paul's Episcopal School of Oakland and as a member of the Occidental College Alumni Board of Governors. Joan completed her undergraduate work at Occidental College and earned an MA from UCLA and a JD degree from the University of California at Davis.
