David Wilby


David Wilby (Dave) was most recently Director of External Affairs at SunEdison. SunEdison has developed and currently operates wind energy projects in the Northeast, the West and in Hawaii, with total installed capacity of 635 megawatts. Previously, Wilby was executive director of the Independent Energy Producers of Maine, an association of Maine's renewable power generators. Wilby served as a legislative advisor to former Senator William S. Cohen (R-ME) and as a senior policy advisor to former Maine Governor, Angus S. King, Jr. (I). For King, Wilby acted as strategist and project manager for the King Administration's landmark land conservation program, which resulted in an unprecedented level of federal and state funding for the protection of over a million acres of land. He managed both legislative passage of a $50 million state land conservation bond and the state's successful attempt to obtain over $25 million in federal funds for conservation projects. Wilby, a New Hampshire native, has a degree in government and history from Bowdoin College. He lives with his wife and two children in Brunswick, Maine.
